Lived Experience: Our team includes people who use disability driving controls and vehicle access equipment every day.

Paul Crake: Our owner Paul resumed driving in 2008 after a spinal cord injury. He is passionate about helping other people with disability to get driving again after he personally felt the enormously positive impact of regaining his independence. 

Michelina Pelosi: Michelina has become a ‘subject-matter expert’ on driving with disability in Australia. She has researched and written two guides to help people through the process of installing the right equipment and getting funding to do so. Michelina has driven with hand controls and used vehicle access equipment since 1990.

The Disability Driving Centre Team: As well as Paul and Michelina, if you get any equipment installed by us, we have a superb technical team of highly accredited mechanics who look after installation and servicing, and other staff available to help smooth the process of getting on the road.

Introductions to DTOTs: We can provide you with the contact details for your nearest Driver Trained Occupational Therapist (DTOT) to get the process started.

Introductions to Specialist Driving Instructors: We also connect you with the very best Specialist Driving Instructors in NSW fitted with a broad range of driving controls enabling you to test a variety of equipment. They help you and your DTOT work out the equipment that is right for you, enabling you to embark on your driving lessons and get your licence.

Private Consulting Room: You can meet with a DTOT for your comprehensive private off-road assessment in our consulting room.

Product Showroom: Take your time to get better acquainted with the broad range of driving controls and vehicle access products available before you use them in your driving lessons.

Equipment Installation: We have a highly trained team of mechanics who can install most driving, vehicle access and equipment stowage modifications.

Ongoing Support: Following your vehicle modification installation, we will keep in touch with you on a yearly basis to get your mods serviced and maintained to keep you safe on the road. We also provide after-care if needed.
